Background
Rachel Case leads the Athey Lab's work on the programmable nuclease activity of Cas9, and presented the 2025 UROP Symposium poster on staggered versus blunt Cas9 cutting in the context of targeted sequencing. She also works on the lab's long-read telomere sequencing. Case's work appears on four further posters across the 2025 UROP and DCMB meetings and the 2026 Omenn Symposium, and in the lab's end reason manuscript.
