Background

Pranjal Srivastava leads the Athey Lab's long-read telomere sequencing, which is building the per-arm telomere measurement for a planned study of telomere maintenance mechanisms in liposarcoma, and its project on the mathematical foundations of the lab's methods. He works on the fine-tuning of basecalling models, SMA-seq, laboratory automation, and the CYP2D6 breast cancer cohort. His work on nanopore end reason filtering appears in the end reason manuscript and in two of the lab's posters at the 2025 DCMB Retreat and the 2026 Omenn Symposium. Srivastava's statistical work includes a linear analysis mixed model phenotyper for bipolar disorder, published as a 2025 medRxiv preprint.
